Hello...
My name is Debbie, and I am a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor and an accredited member of the NCPS. I believe that if our basic needs are met we can build a better understanding of the life we want to lead for our future self.

I sometimes draw upon other modalities of therapy depending on my client’s needs but will aim to tailor the sessions accordingly.
My Story...
Being a married (ex-military) mum of two adult sons, I have a wealth of lived experiences, starting from my own personal childhood traumas and navigating my way through the loss and grief of family life, which have all played a part in shaping me into the person I am today. Working with people is my passion and a pattern that has followed me throughout my life, in various settings, working one-on-one with people of varying ages has taught me so much about how humans connect and how much we need to feel heard. I am also passionate about early intervention with young people, if these worries are shared from an earlier age it can help to prevent ongoing mental health issues into adulthood. Things we experience in childhood are often still with us as we enter into the adult years.

I have found the power of sharing to be life-changing on a personal level and this led me to retrain to become a Counsellor, I am grateful for the insight I have had into how humans need a connection to be the best version of themselves.
